Where do you start with an end of year blog? There’s so much that has happened in the last 12 months it will be hard to keep this short and sweet, so please do bear with me! For those that may not know I work part-time as an NHS Physiotherapist, but it goes without saying that horses and dogs are my passions in life. At the beginning of the year I gained my Diploma in Canine Merishia Massage adding another set of 4 legs to my client base. This led to a new logo design, new website (www.hac-therapies.co.uk) and change in business name; ‘HAC Equine Massage’ became ‘HAC Therapies – for horse, human and hound.’
I've attended several training courses and events (listed below) to keep up to date with knowledge and skills, evidence-based practice and research. In this way I can provide the very best for my 2 and 4-legged clients.

My work takes me anywhere and everywhere; although currently based in London I travel to many home counties including Hertfordshire, Surrey, Sussex, Essex and Norfolk. I visit many livery yards and riding schools and I have set up monthly clinics at a dog boarding facility in Norfolk, which has a hydrotherapy pool and grooming salon on-site (http://www.dogotel.org). I also provide mobile visits whenever necessary.

Throughout the year I love to visit Vauxhall City Farm (https://www.vauxhallcityfarm.org/horse-riding) and pamper the ponies there. In July I was at the Royal Sandringham Dog Show, a charity event that was raising money for local hospice Tapping House. I was able to offer free muscle health checks in between watching the classes. It was a beautifully sunny day and I even managed to sample some local gin at one of the other stalls! #sandringham #royalsandringhamdogshow #dogshow #charity
In October I attended the London Riding Horse Show in Hyde Park to support my sponsored client Virginia Draper and her gorgeous Spanish horse, Diamante. It was a great day all round as Virginia and Diamante Del Ray won all their classes. In December I went to The London International Horse Show at Olympia where I witnessed Guy Williams and Mr Blue Sky UK take on the record 7ft 4 wall of the Cayenne Puissance for Great Britain. Such an incredible effort from the dream team and a thoroughly enjoyable night out.
